With a background in delivering insight and consultancy and highly experienced in utilising data analytics and market research to deliver impactful narratives and strategic recommendations, you will be responsible for delivering and supporting consultancy projects for Higher Education institutions and clients across the UK, Canada, the USA, Australia and New Zealand.
You will be in a client-facing role and highly skilled in evaluating business objectives and deriving insight from quantitative and qualitative data to meet these objectives and guide client strategy and planning decisions. The IQ Consultant will play a key role in the dissemination of sector insight, trends and thought leadership initiatives.
Working alongside a team of data and market research analysts, you will be a direct point of contact for external clients across global markets. The IQ consultant is responsible for coordinating data analytics alongside qualitative and quantitative research outputs to produce clear and compelling insight reports that drive strategic change for clients.
A key element of this role is to closely collaborate with the senior consultant and client partnerships teams to evaluate the appropriate methodology for consultancies based on strategic needs.
You would be based in the United Kingdom, will be required to attend the London-based office at least twice a week, and report to our senior consultant on the IQ team.

Deliverables
While the varied nature of the role requires you to be flexible in your approach and willing to learn new skills along the way, you are expected to have the following capabilities to be successful in this position.
Primary Deliverables
Supporting client team objectives
- Deliver insights and data which enhance client relationships and support business development
- Design and deliver client consultancy reports, ensuring insights and data are visually engaging and accurate
- Lead in the presentation of analysis to clients, articulating insights into clear recommendations and actions
Managing consultancy projects and supporting thought-leadership initiatives
- Evaluate client objectives and make recommendations on the methodology for consultancy projects
- Manage and coordinate the delivery of consultancy projects from design to output delivery and presentation
- Be the direct lead for clients during IQ Consultancy projects
- Ensure client satisfaction by managing and exceeding client expectations and mitigate project delivery risks
- Analyse both qualitative and quantitative outputs to derive actionable insight and produce engaging reports
- Translate complex analysis into clear and impactful messages
- Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to continually understand changing business and client needs
- Report on the latest sector trends across all key markets
- Lead as required in the delivery of industry engagement initiatives

Personal Specification
Essential Requirements
- Proven research, analytical and consulting skills
- Advanced knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies and their related strengths and weaknesses
- Experience in working with large data sets and analytical tools
- Skilled in bringing together multiple strands of data and insight that will shape client recommendations
- Strong analytical mind and inquisitive nature to uncover opportunities and issues gathered from data
- Excellent numerical, written, and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail
- Highly skilled in presentation design and delivery
- Strong communication, articulation and influencing skills
- Able to work and prioritise effectively across multiple projects simultaneously
- Highly collaborative and displays keenness to meet and speak with people to get results
- Keen to learn more and find out how to use new tools or techniques
- Strong project management skills, with experience of managing research or consultancy projects to a high standard, managing resources, timelines and competing priorities
- Direct experience either in a research consultancy role or higher education institution role
- Higher Education sector knowledge
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
Desirable Requirements
- Knowledge and personal experience of international education
- Knowledge and understanding of key data sources in the international education industry
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Mix of agency and client-side experience
- Experience in a line management role
- Research, data and analytics related qualifications or accreditations
