IP Sales Manager Department: Commercial Employment Type: Full Time Location: London Reporting To: Nimai Amin Description We are looking for a highly enthusiastic Sales Manager to lead our IP Market Intelligence Team – reporting into the Divisional Sales Director you will be responsible for delivering targets against an established portfolio of digital products. The Sales Manager will have sales representatives reporting to them and be responsible for hiring, coaching and motivating a hybrid team who split their time across account management and new business. In addition to planning and implementing an on‑going sales strategy for growth and leading a team, you will use your relationship, management and negotiation skills to grow our account base. Key Responsibilities
Recruitment and onboarding: Lead a continuous recruitment programme aimed at hiring Business Development Associates into the Business; work with the Sales Director to develop an onboarding programme; provide continuous coaching and training to junior sales representatives. Team leadership and management: Lead and manage a team of Business Development Associates; manage pipeline, forecasting and targets; establish sales objectives, quotas, plans; develop annual sales plans; build strong team culture. Product knowledge and portfolio management: Manage multiple sales campaigns; develop cross‑organizational relationships; be the recognised expert for your product; coach and mentor team; demonstrate in‑depth product, market and sector knowledge.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
3+ years B2B sales experience and a minimum of 2+ years managing a sales team. Excellent negotiation and communication skills, highly professional telephone manner. Self‑motivated and highly driven with a desire to exceed targets. Resilience in challenging situations; ability to work to targets. Strong management skills to motivate junior team members and contribute to a culture of sales excellence. Proven track record in onboarding and coaching junior sales representatives. Strong time management, organisation, prioritisation and delegation. Ability to set and measure objectives and ensure follow‑up. Accurate forecasting and reporting in Salesforce. Highly enthusiastic and a ‘can‑do’ attitude.
