Inventory Manager
We are looking for an experienced Inventory Manager to take ownership of warehouse inventory operations and drive measurable improvements across performance, accuracy, and efficiency.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will optimise processes, improve stock control, and lead a team to deliver consistently high operational standards.
The Role
You will be responsible for the end-to-end management of warehouse operations, ensuring goods are handled accurately, efficiently, and in full compliance with industry standards.
Key focus areas include:
- Full oversight of goods-in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
- Maintaining high levels of inventory accuracy and stock integrity
- Improving warehouse layout, workflow, and space utilisation
- Driving on-time and accurate order fulfilment
- Implementing continuous improvement initiatives across all operations
What You Will Be Doing
Operational Management
- Manage daily warehouse activity across all functions
- Ensure accuracy, efficiency, and service levels are consistently met
- Optimise workflow, layout, and storage strategies
Continuous Improvement
- Identify inefficiencies and implement practical improvements
- Introduce Lean / 5S principles and best practice standards
- Reduce errors, waste, and unnecessary movement
- Improve KPIs including picking speed, accuracy, and dispatch times
Inventory & Systems
- Improve stock accuracy through structured cycle counting
- Use WMS/ERP systems to track performance and drive improvements
- Implement barcode scanning and system enhancements where needed
Team Leadership
- Lead, develop, and motivate warehouse teams
- Introduce KPI tracking and performance management
- Build a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement
- Manage staffing levels and shift planning
Performance & Cost Control
- Improve productivity while reducing inefficiencies and overtime
- Use data to plan labour and improve operational performance
- Report on KPIs and improvement outcomes
Compliance & Safety
- Maintain high standards of health & safety
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and operational procedures
- Manage incidents, issues, and corrective actions

Experience Required

- Track record of implementing process improvements
- Experience leading teams and improving performance through KPIs
- Knowledge of Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Confident communication skills
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
