Salary: c.£34,000 pro rata, dependent on skills and experience
Location: Stoneleigh, Warwickshire with agile working
Working Hours: 3 days, 21 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
The National Farmers Union (NFU) is the biggest farming organisation in the UK. Purpose of the role & how you will contribute:
As Internal Communications Officer, youll help to shape and deliver engaging internal communications that keep NFU colleagues and our Group Secretary Network connected, informed and inspired. Youll create clear, accessible content across a variety of digital and offline channels, including an intranet and e-newsletters and support the delivery of events and activities across teams.
You will enjoy spotting proactive opportunities to share key organisational news and build strong internal relationships in line with our NFU Values and business priorities.
What youll bring :
Youll bring experience of planning and delivering internal communications that have a measurable impact, managing and creating intranet content and using digital tools to reach diverse audiences. Confident and diplomatic, you can translate complex issues into engaging messages and present to colleagues at all levels. Youll be highly organised, able to juggle multiple projects, problem-solve, work at pace and under pressure, while remaining calm and with a positive, can-do approach. Youll handle sensitive and confidential information with care and judgement.

Who we are
Every day, we're the voice of around 44,000 British farmers and growers who produce food, making sure their concerns are heard at the heart of government as well as locally. This means developing strong relationships with everyone across the NFU. As well as having a high profile in both the media and in Westminster, we work with and support local members through a network of regional and county offices, across England and Wales.
This role sits within our Communications Directorate, which campaigns on behalf of members, deals with the media, runs our social media accounts and lobbies MPs. Its work ensures the NFU connects with NFU members through magazines, our website and App. Everything we do is about communicating the NFUs views effectively, both externally and internally.
