Intermediate - Senior Mechanical Design Engineer \n London | Hybrid Working | 9 Day Fortnight | Up to £60k \n \n Looking for a role where you can develop your technical skills, gain real project ownership, and work in a genuinely supportive environment? \n \n This is an opportunity to join a growing, design-focused building services consultancy delivering high-quality engineering across sectors including commercial, residential, education, healthcare, and more. With a strong pipeline of work and a collaborative culture, they're looking to appoint an Intermediate to Senior Mechanical Engineer in their London office.

\n \n The Opportunity \n Whether you're an experienced Intermediate ready to step up, or an established Senior looking for a better environment - this role offers hands-on delivery, progression, and support in equal measure. \n \n You'll work across a variety of projects, gaining exposure to all stages of design while being supported by a highly experienced team. \n \n What You'll Be Doing\n - Supporting and leading mechanical design delivery across projects \n - Producing calculations, reports, and detailed designs \n - Working on dynamic thermal modelling, load calculations, and system design \n - Supporting delivery of Part L, overheating analysis (TM52 / TM59), and energy modelling \n - Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated design solutions \n - Engaging with clients and attending project meetings \n - Progressively taking on more ownership and responsibility \n \n What They're Looking For\n - Experience in mechanical building services design (consultancy) \n - Exposure to projects across sectors such as commercial, residential, education, or mixed-use \n - Familiarity with tools such as IES-VE (desirable) \n - Understanding of UK regulations and design standards \n - Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset \n - Ambition to develop and progress within a consultancy environment \n \n Why This Role Stands Out\n - 9-day fortnight - a genuine commitment to work-life balance \n - Enhanced pension contribution \n - Strong focus on training, development, and chartership support \n - Clear progression pathway to Senior / Principal level \n - Collaborative, close-knit team with no micromanagement \n - Opportunity to work on a diverse range of high-quality projects \n \n Whether you're working in the larger corporate companies or a small SME this is certainly one to take note of.
