Job Description

Intermediate 3D Designer

London

£38,000-£40,000

Award winning architectural and design studio

I am working with an award winning architectural and design studio that does genuinely interesting work. This is not a narrow, repetitive role. It is for a 3D Designer who wants to think, challenge ideas and see their work land in the real world.

This studio designs through the lens of people, behaviour and experience. The projects span retail, hospitality, workplace, aviation and branded environments, ranging from pop ups through to large scale master planning. If you like variety and enjoy working across different scales, this will suit you.

They are looking for a strong Intermediate 3D Designer to join their London team, with around four years’ experience in a similar environment. That said, they are open minded and will also consider more senior designers if the experience and mindset is right.

The role

You will be involved across the full design journey. From shaping briefs and early concepts through to technical delivery and client engagement. This is a hands on role where your ideas matter and where you will be encouraged to contribute, not just execute.

You will work closely with creative leads, support client presentations, help coordinate design content and get involved on projects from concept to completion. There is also scope to take on more responsibility over time, including leading projects if you are at a more senior level.

What they are looking for

You will be a creative, conceptual thinker who can translate ideas clearly through visuals, presentations and discussion. You should be comfortable working collaboratively, confident presenting your work internally and externally, and organised enough to manage your own workload.

Experience in a similar design led studio is important, as is a genuine interest in culture, brands, environments and emerging design trends.

Key experience and skills

  • Strong background in 3D and spatial design within interiors or architecture
  • Confident taking projects from concept through to delivery
  • Comfortable supporting client meetings and presenting design work
  • Good understanding of materials, specifications and the design process
  • Able to collaborate well with designers, consultants and contractors
  • Proactive, organised and comfortable managing multiple workstreams

Software

  • Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and InDesign
  • SketchUp
  • Microsoft Office
  • Enscape and or Twinmotion is beneficial
  • Hand drawing skills are a bonus

Why this is worth a conversation

This is a studio with high standards, but also a strong culture. They care about how people think, work and grow. You will be surrounded by talented designers, given exposure to varied projects and supported to develop your career rather than being boxed into one lane.

Some travel may be required depending on projects, including occasional international travel.

If this sounds like the right next step, I would be happy to talk you through the studio, the team and where this role can take you.
