1 term contract (Easter - end of academic year) Competitive day rateWe're working with a school in Bristol looking for an experienced Senior Leader / SENCo to join them for the summer term on an interim basis.This is a hands-on role at a key point in the year, supporting the school's SEND provision and providing stability and direction across the team.The roleYou'll take the lead on SEND across the school, making sure systems are clear, support is in place, and staff feel confident in meeting pupils' needs.Day to day, this will include:Overseeing SEND provision and ensuring it is in line with statutory requirementsManaging and reviewing EHCPs, support plans and interventionsWorking closely with teachers to support inclusive classroom practiceLiaising with parents, external agencies and professionalsMonitoring provision and outcomes, and making adjustments where neededKeeping records up to date and ensuring complianceSupporting and guiding staff around SEND practiceAbout youWe're looking for someone who can step in quickly and make an impact.You will need:Experience working as a SENCo or in a senior SEND roleA strong understanding of SEND legislation and current practiceThe ability to work at pace and manage competing prioritiesConfidence working with staff, parents and external agenciesQTS (or equivalent)Ideally, you'll also have:Previous senior leadership experienceExperience across a range of needs (e.g. ASD, SEMH, complex needs)A practical, solutions-focused approachConfidence using data to review and improve provisionWhy this role?Short-term but meaningful opportunity to make a differenceChance to support a school during an important periodCompetitive day rateSupportive working environmentJBRP1_UKTJ
