Interim Senior Finance Business Partner - (Place & Chief Exec)Local Government6 month initial contract550- 600 per day1 day a week on siteAbout the clientMorgan Law is seeking an Interim Senior Finance Business Partner - (Place & Chief Exec) for a local authority in London.AccountabilitiesEnsuring the requirements of the Council's financial strategy are metTo identify savings within the financial budget to support the medium-term financial plan (MTFP)Assisting in the development of financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for the "Place and NED" directorate, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and financial regulationsRespond to information requests quickly and accuratelyproviding high quality professional advice on the financial implications of corporate proposals and drafting financial comments within committee reports to inform decision making.Provide financial reports for departmental meetings as requiredProvide specialist technical advice relating to their areas of responsibilityProvide advice and support regarding the financial aspects of local systems. To ensure processes and procedures are robust, confirm to best professional practice and provide value for moneyEvaluate legislative and policy changes and assess the financial impact on the serviceCandidate RequirementsCCAB or CIMA Qualified with post qualification finance / accounting experience (E)Strong attention to detail and problem solving skillsExcellent communication skills, both written and verbalStrong "Place" and "Environment" experience working in a local authority (E)Strong strategic FBP experience working in a local authority organisation (E) #J-18808-Ljbffr
