Job Description
Starfish Search is supporting a London Borough to appoint an Interim Project Manager.
This is a key technical and project leadership role within Highway Operations, responsible for delivering complex public realm and highways schemes. The postholder will lead end-to-end project delivery across a diverse portfolio including highways, drainage, traffic engineering, structures and road safety.
You will play a critical role in ensuring high-quality, compliant and efficient delivery of infrastructure projects, working closely with internal stakeholders, contractors and the public.
You will:
Lead the end-to-end delivery of highways projects
Manage project programmes, risks and resources
Oversee contractors, ensuring quality and compliance
Provide technical advice on highways engineering and traffic management
Manage contracts, procurement and project budgets
Engage effectively with stakeholders, members and
You will have:
Proven experience delivering highways or public realm projects
Strong knowledge of highways standards and relevant legislation
Experience managing contractors and contracts within a public sector environment
Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
A relevant engineering qualification or equivalent experience
