Delighted to be partnering with a long standing client of mine who are wanting an experienced Management Accountant to join the business on a 3-6 months basis in Huddersfield. This role would suit a hands-on Management Accountant who can quickly add value and support the finance function during a busy period of change.
\n\nKey Responsibilities
\n\n- \n\t
- To produce monthly management accounts, risks and opportunities schedules and associated board report packs within agreed timetables \n\t
- To provide management with meaningful management information to identify early warnings and promote the decision-making process including sales and product contribution performance \n\t
- To produce and be responsible for accurate monthly management accounts in line with the required timescales \n\t
- To complete month end account reconciliations for the profit and loss accounts and balance sheet accounts \n\t
- To work in conjunction with the Project Accountants to produce long term contract end life actual calculation and forecasts and ensure the contract to-date margins are prudent and in line with the financial reporting guidelines \n\t
- To support the year end process and provide external auditors and tax advisors with information within agreed timeframes \n\t
- To provide a financial support for the large defence contracts including determining the technical accounting aspects for those of increasing complexity \n\t
- To lead initiatives such as business process improvement, systems development, cost reduction workshops and financial training within the Finance Team and to non-financial managers \n\t
- To produce cost centre reports and hold monthly reviews with the budget holders \n\t
- Support on the annual budget process, forward forecasts and associated board reports within agreed timetables. \n\t
- To complete all national statistics requirements \n\t
- Responsible for the monthly processing and reconciliation of employee expenses and petty cash \n\t
- Administrator responsibilities for the company card management process \n\t
- Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns \n
About You
\n\n- \n\t
- Knowledge of project and long term contract accounting \n\t
- SAP experience and running month end processes \n\t
- Strong knowledge of Management Accounting and Cost Centre reporting \n\t
- Strong double entry book keeping experience \n\t
- Competent user of Microsoft Suite \n
