Role summary
An Multi Academy Trust in the Manchester area is seeking an Interim HR Advisor to provide hands-on, operational HR support on a part-time basis (3 days per week) . The postholder will take the lead on employee relations (ER) casework and absence management , supporting managers to resolve matters fairly, consistently and in line with policy and employment law.
Key responsibilities
Provide day-to-day HR advisory support to line managers on a range of ER matters , including (but not limited to) conduct, capability/performance, grievance and disciplinary processes. Manage a caseload of complex and sensitive ER cases , ensuring clear documentation, appropriate risk management and timely progression. Lead on absence management , including short-term and long-term absence cases, supporting managers with attendance reviews, return-to-work processes, and escalation routes where required. Coach and guide managers on best-practice people management, ensuring decisions are consistent and evidence-based. Support with the preparation of letters, meeting packs, outcome notes and case timelines.
