Head of HR, 4 or 5 days, Chelmsford(3-4 months),Office based£67,324pa - £75,485paMust be immediately available or within 1 weeks notice HR Recruit is partnering with an educational establishment who are looking to recruit an interim Head of HR during a period of reorganisation. The client will consider candidates looking for 4 or 5 days. The purpose of the role is to provide operational leadership of HR, ensuring the development of a high-performing, values-led workforce. This is a key leadership position and sits on the Senior Leadership and Management Team. Key ResponsibilitiesTo implement the HR strategy, aligned with the vision, values, and development planTo oversee all aspects of recruitment and selection, including safer recruitment practices and compliance with safeguarding requirementsTo provide expert advice and guidance to senior leaders and line managers on employment law, employee relations, and best HR practiceTo oversee staff induction, probation, and performance management processesTo manage employee relations matters, including discipline, grievance, absence management, and wellbeing supportTo lead workforce planning, pay review processes, and benefits administration in collaboration with senior leadershipTo promote staff development, training, and professional learningTo maintain accurate HR records and systems, always ensuring confidentiality and data integrityPerson specificationTo have HR leadership experienceTo have strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practiceTo be able to operate both strategically and operationally in a busy environmentTo have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to advise senior leadersTo have strong organisational skills and attention to detailIn return you will receive a salary of between £67,324pa - £75,485pa JBRP1_UKTJ
