I am currently working with my client within the social housing sector to recuit an Interim Director of Assets with a view to start in mid to late Januray.\n\nThe Interim Director of Assets will provide strategic and operational leadership of the organisation’s housing asset portfolio, ensuring homes are safe, compliant, sustainable, and aligned with corporate objectives. Reporting to the Executive Director of Operations / Chief Executive, the role will act as the senior accountable lead for asset management, providing assurance to the Executive Team and Board during a defined interim period.\n\nKey Responsibilities\n\n * \n\n Lead the development and implementation of the Asset Management Strategy and supporting Asset Management Plan, informed by robust asset intelligence, stock condition data, and long-term investment planning.\n\n * \n\n Provide executive leadership and assurance on statutory compliance and building safety, ensuring effective governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance across the asset portfolio.\n\n * \n\n Oversee delivery of capital investment, planned maintenance, and major works programmes, ensuring value for money, effective contract management, and budgetary control.\n\n * \n\n Lead, manage, and develop asset management, compliance, and technical teams, stabilising services and driving performance improvement.\n\n * \n\n Provide high-quality reporting and strategic advice to the Executive Team and Board on asset performance, risk, and investment priorities.\n\n * \n\n Ensure asset-related activities support wider organisational objectives, including sustainability, decarbonisation, and long-term business planning
