We’re building a one-stop shop for business essentials that’s powered by smart technology and world class human service giving them an experience so good that they trust Bionic to sort all their business needs for them.The roleWe are seeking an Interim Deputy Group Financial Controller to join our Finance team on a fixed term contract for 12 months.This role plays a key part in supporting financial operations, providing business insight, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across the Group.The Finance team at Bionic provides operational and strategic financial support, enabling data-driven decisions that drive growth and maintain a strong financial position. The team is also responsible for maintaining financial systems, managing stakeholder relationships, and ensuring compliance and reporting accuracy.This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing finance team within a fast-paced and growing organisation. We provide an environment where you can build on your experience, develop professionally, and make a tangible impact.Key ResponsibilitiesManage month-end processes across areas of ownership, including journals, reconciliations, and commentary.Partner with business teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and business case development.Drive the reporting agenda to provide insight and constructive challenge to the business.Prepare and deliver ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting in response to business requirements.Provide monthly management information to budget holders, senior management and boards in accordance with business timetable and presentation format as required.Drive financial integration and process alignment for acquired businesses.Manage and respond to ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders as required.Essential skills & experienceQualified accountant – ACA, CIMA or equivalentSolid understanding of UK GAAPStrong technical background in finance, accounting and audit coupled with excellent interpersonal and communication skillsHigh level of computer literacy to include Excel, Word and Power pointAccuracy and attention to detailContinuous improvement attitude, adapting and embracing challengesAbility to work independently while adhering to deadlinesEnjoy working in a fast paced, fun and lively environmentAppetite to learn, improve, and share the formula with othersAbility to quickly learn new processesHappy to take on new tasks which may be challengingThe interview processInitial conversation with our Talent Acquisition Team1st stage Teams interview with the Hiring Manager2nd stage in person interview with Group FC & CFOAbout Bionic GroupBionic has 600 people working across three office locations and four businesses; Bionic - London, Bionic Outbound – Luton, Think Business Loans – Chelmsford, and Smart – Field based agents.We have a high energy work environment wherever the location; you can feel the passion the moment you walk through our door!
