We are working with a highly regarded investment management firm to appoint a Compliance Consultant for a twelve month contract within its Core Compliance function. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation with a strong reputation in the asset management sector and a broad global footprint, offering exposure to multiple jurisdictions and fund structures.


The role carries significant responsibility, including leading and developing a Core Compliance team and acting as a key advisor to the business on regulatory obligations, policies, and procedures. The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring that compliance frameworks remain robust, up to date, and aligned with evolving regulatory expectations, while also supporting business initiatives and strategic projects from a compliance perspective.


A core element of the position will be both advisory work and ownership and oversight of a risk-based Compliance Monitoring Programme. This includes ensuring effective monitoring of regulatory adherence, maintaining accurate records, delivering insightful management information, and escalating issues where appropriate. The individual will also contribute to regulatory change implementation, support regulatory reporting requirements, and be involved in a range of broader compliance activities such as financial promotions oversight, conflicts of interest management, and fund-related compliance matters.


We are seeking candidates with around ten years experience within asset management, including exposure to retail products. Prior management experience, along with a proven ability to operate effectively in a senior, business-facing role is essential . A solid understanding of market regulations, including frameworks such as EMIR and MiFID, is required, alongside a demonstrable track record of working within complex, multi-jurisdictional environments.


The ideal candidate will bring excellent communication skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to exercise sound judgment independently. They will be collaborative in approach, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
