Interim Assistant Company Secretary


We are supporting a well-established organisation in their search for a Qualified Assistant Company Secretary to join the team on a 3–6 month contract. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in a listed, in-house environment who enjoys a varied role covering board support, statutory compliance and share scheme administration.


Key Responsibilities


  • Provide end-to-end meeting and committee support, including agenda management, paper coordination, minute-taking and action tracking
  • Support subsidiary governance, maintaining statutory records and completing Companies House filings
  • Assist with stock exchange and regulatory announcements, including routine disclosures
  • Contribute to the administration of employee share schemes, working with internal teams and external providers
  • Support wider corporate governance activities, including annual reporting, AGM processes and policy maintenance
  • Partner with the Company Secretary on ad hoc governance and corporate projects


Key Skills & Experience


  • ICSA / CGI qualified (essential)
  • Proven experience within a UK listed or complex in-house secretariat
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and confidence working with senior stakeholders
  • Comfortable managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment


Working Pattern


This role is hybrid, requiring 3 days per week in the office.
