Contract: 6 Months
Location: Edinburgh (On-site once per month)
Day Rate: £700 per day (via Umbrella Company)
Overview
We are seeking an experienced Integration Architect to support a large-scale separation programme and play a key role in designing and delivering secure, scalable integration capabilities. The role is highly technical and requires extensive experience across Azure, DevSecOps, and complex system integration within a regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
Design and deliver DevSecOps architectures within a complex multi‑cloud environment.
Develop and implement route-to-live strategies, environment design, and integration patterns.
Architect and supportintegrations across:
File transfer
APIs
Bulk/batch data transfers
Act as an SME for the Azure platform, supporting engineering teams with solution design and delivery.
Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code practices.
Drive DevOps best practices, automation, CI/CD, and modern engineering principles.
Work effectively with remote outsourced teams, ensuring alignment and delivery quality.
Mentor junior engineers and promote engineering excellence and best practice adoption.
Apply strong Azure Security principles across all architecture and design work.
Contribute technical leadership to a multi-year separation programme, ensuring secure and seamless system decoupling.
Essential Skills & Experience
Proven background designing DevSecOps architecture in a multi-cloud environment.
Strong experience in environment design, integration architecture, and route-to-live processes.
Hands-on integration experience with APIs, file transfers, and bulk data transfer solutions.
Deep expertise in Azure platform engineering.
Strong practical experience with Terraform.
Solid understanding of DevOps methodologies and CI/CD tooling.
Experience within a regulated industry (finance, utilities, telecoms, etc.).
Proven experience working with remote outsourced teams.
Experience mentoring junior team members and driving engineering standards.
Proficiency with GitHub and modern version‑control workflows.
Strong knowledge of Azure Security and secure-by-design principles.
Desirable Experience
Previous involvement in large-scale separation, migration, or carve-out programmes.
Experience working in large enterprise engineering environments
