Integration and System Validation Engineer 12 months+ contract durationBased in Bristol (3-5 days on site; rest remote)We are looking for a Systems Integration and Proving Trials Engineer to join an Integration and Systems Validation team on the Land Ceptor project. This is a lab-based position. The project provides an opportunity with work with a variety of customers and industry partners in the UK and on export contracts.Responsibilities:We are looking for a broad-based Systems Integration and Proving Trials Engineer who will be able to: Work with stakeholders across the project, from within partner companies and from the customer community, to plan trials to demonstrate integration and gather evidence to qualify Land Ceptor into a wider System of Systems environmentLiaise with the systems engineering team and design teams to ensure adequate trials data is acquired and to investigate and resolve design issues.Analyse and report on in-depth analysis of the system behaviour across its internal and external interfaces.Deliver trials in a number of environments, including: Lab-based integration and functional rigs;System of Systems integration trials;Acceptance trials;Firing trials; Conduct and support failure investigations.Support safe and reliable trials, including developing and maintaining risk assessments, management of hardware and software assets and control of hardware and software configuration. Skills required:We are looking for an Engineer with the following skills: Good verbal and written communication skills;Communicating at an appropriate level with a wide and varied range of both engineering and management stakeholders;Working within a large team, across multiple sites and with multiple departments;Proven ability with V&V lifecycle, requirement and configuration management and defect reporting.Network systems and protocols, experience of switch and router configuration and managementFault finding and route cause analysis at subsystem integration level Skills in these areas would also be beneficial: Wireshark network monitoring tool usage;DOORS & Engineering Test Management (ETM) requirements tools;Basic understanding of network / cable assembly drawings;Fault finding and route cause analysis at subsystem integration level;Experience in customer facing roles.
