Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Insurance Surveyor, based in the Greater Bristol Area, United Kingdom. While the successful candidate will primarily conduct on-site surveys of insured properties, remote work may also be required. Responsibilities include assessing building damages, creating detailed reports for insurance claims, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, liaising with clients and contractors, managing the reinstatement process, and ensuring a seamless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Ownership of the surveying function of the business, with strong commercial emphasis.
- Demonstrable Project Management skills and capabilities.
- Demonstrate high standards of Health & Safety are being embedded into the operational activity.
- Ensure that Quality is embedded into our work.
- Manage customer relations to a high level of customer satisfaction that is industry leading.
- Responsible for achievement of business financial targets; such as gross margins, cashflow and WIP management.
- Embed use of Tech into the operational processes.
- Assemble and present clear MI data for the strategic team.
- Support continuous process improvements and maintain high standards of service delivery.
- Implement & monitor compliance with internal policies, external environment and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Market development: Identify, engage, and onboard insurance repair contractors, loss and other services providers to strengthen our network.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Health & Safety knowledge to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations
- Strong Communication skills for effective client interactions and collaborative work with contractors
- Analytical skills for evaluating building damages and preparing comprehensive insurance assessment reports
- Proficiency in time management and problem-solving
- Familiarity with insurance claims processes and property repair standards is essential
- Relevant certification in surveying, health and safety, or a related field is preferred
- Full UK driving license is required for site visits
