Installation Technician Warehouse Automation £45,000 salary | 28 days annual leave | National Travel

Were partnering with a global warehouse automation business to recruit an Installation Technician for a highly mobile, field-based role supporting projects across the UK.

This position involves significant national travel , so its ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road and working on large-scale automation installations at customer sites.

The role Install, assemble, and wire warehouse automation systems on-site

Commission systems and carry out functional and safety testing

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues

Work closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards

Complete installation reports, QA records, and documentation

Provide on-site updates and basic operator training to customers

Travel requirement Frequent travel

Regular National travel

Occasional short-notice or urgent site visits

Flexible working hours during peak installation phases

What were looking for Experience in industrial automation, installation, or commissioning

Mechanical and/or electrical background

Confident fault-finding and problem-solving skills

Strong communication and customer-facing ability

Comfortable working at height (MEWPs / forklifts)

Happy with extensive travel and working away from home
