Installation Technician – Warehouse Automation £45,000 salary | 28 days annual leave | Travel\n\n We’re partnering with a global warehouse automation business to recruit an Installation Technician for a highly mobile, field-based role supporting projects across the UK.\n\n This position involves significant travel, so it’s ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road and working on large-scale automation installations at customer sites.\n\nThe role\nInstall, assemble, and wire warehouse automation systems on-site\n\nCommission systems and carry out functional and safety testing\n\nTroubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electrical issues\n\nWork closely with engineers, project managers, and site teams\n\nEnsure compliance with all health, safety, and quality standards\n\nComplete installation reports, QA records, and documentation\n\nProvide on-site updates and basic operator training to customers\n\nTravel requirement\nFrequent travel\n\nRegular travel\n\nOccasional short-notice or urgent site visits\n\nFlexible working hours during peak installation phases\n\nWhat we’re looking for\nExperience in industrial automation, installation, or commissioning\n\nMechanical and/or electrical background\n\nConfident fault-finding and problem-solving skills\n\nStrong communication and customer-facing ability\n\nComfortable working at height (MEWPs / forklifts)\n\nHappy with extensive travel and working away from home
