The Legal Counsel will provide reliable, accurate, and commercially focused legal advice to the Veriforce Group of companies. The Legal Counsel will support the General Counsel to ensure that a first-class, solutions-orientated legal service is provided to support all business units. What that means day to day

Advise the Group on legal matters, with a particular emphasis on commercial contracts. Engage with the business units and group support functions to build credibility and trust, whilst supporting them in addressing legal implications and compliance issues. Negotiate and draft a wide range of commercial contracts and NDAs. Support with Company Secretarial matters including managing the group structure, statutory filing, investor and board support. Support the General Counsel with ensuring GDPR / Privacy law compliance and ad-hoc projects. Assist with the management of the IP, domains and trademark registrations of the Group as well as addressing any related contentious issues as they arise. Support the General Counsel on resolving legal issues that face the business from time to time. General legal research and legal administrative duties as required.

What you’ll need to be successful

Qualified solicitor with experience in commercial law (minimum 3 years PQE) Strong experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts Ability to provide clear, pragmatic, and commercially focused legal advice Confident building relationships and influencing stakeholders across the business Strong understanding of legal risk and how to balance this with business objectives Excellent communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex legal matters Highly organised, with the ability to manage a varied workload and competing priorities Strong attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
