Heriot Brown is working with a major UK institutional investor on a newly created role within their Investment & Transactions Legal team. As they expand their allocation to renewable energy, infrastructure and long-term real assets, they are looking to hire a lawyer to support on a broad range of investments and related commercial work.


This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to be closely involved in purpose-led, future-focused investments and play a meaningful role in supporting how significant capital is deployed.


The Role

You will work alongside a highly collaborative legal and investment function, supporting on:

  • Renewable energy and infrastructure transactions
  • Early-stage structuring, diligence and negotiation
  • Commercial and corporate arrangements connected to investment activity
  • Cross-functional work with investment, ESG, finance and operational teams
  • Supporting strategic projects as the organisation grows its real assets footprint

The role offers genuine breadth and the chance to work on impactful, long-term investments.


About You

You will likely be:

  • A qualified lawyer (UK or equivalent) with experience in infrastructure, energy, corporate or project-related transactions
  • Comfortable managing deals and engaging directly with business stakeholders
  • Interested in the evolving energy transition and sustainable investment landscape
  • Keen to join a team that values pragmatic advice and internal collaboration

Lawyers with corporate/M&A backgrounds who are keen to move into the energy/infrastructure space are very welcome.
