Infrastructure Engineer (VMware) - DV Cleared Farnborough (Onsite - 5 days per week) £600-£700 per day (Inside IR35) 6-Month Rolling Contract Overview We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to support BAU operations within a secure, high-assurance environment. This role requires strong VMware expertise and an active MOD DV clearance . You will be responsible for maintaining and optimising virtual infrastructure, ensuring high availability, performance, and security across critical systems. Key Responsibilities

Administer and manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter, clusters, and resource pools

Design, deploy, and support vSAN hyper-converged storage solutions

Configure and maintain HA/DRS to ensure resilient and highly available platforms

Manage VMware networking, including: vSwitches and distributed Switches

VLANs, port groups, and segmentation

Support and maintain VMware Horizon VDI environments (desirable)

Develop and maintain automation using PowerCLI , templates, and provisioning workflows

Monitor and optimise system performance: Troubleshoot host and VM issues
