About the role
The Systems Security Group Engineering Group Deputy Manager role is a critical role within Raytheon UK. This role supports the business in a constructive way, always offering the required assurances to both business and customer whilst providing innovative solutions to risk‑based problems.
Requirements
Forward facing (used to talking to/chairing meetings with customers at a senior level)
Highly organised, discrete, outcome focused, with a “can do” attitude
Team player but able to work effectively alone
Strong communication skills (i.e. oral, presentation and written) with a collaborative approach to teamwork – able to constructively challenge
Experienced working in a Matrix Management Organisation
Experienced working within a fast‑paced environment
Understanding of formulating, recording and managing security risk
Support developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans
Understands security requirements and how to decompose them
A strong track record in personnel management
Knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) processes and procedures
Understanding/experience of Secure by Design
Understanding/experience of waterfall and agile methodologies
Understanding how obsolescence impacts IA
Supporting the development of Risk Management Framework documents and controls
Performed Task Lead duties (e.g. task planning, product owner, scrum master)
Experience or knowledge of Supply Chain security management
Worked with the MOD or other similar agencies on projects/programmes above OFFICIAL‑SENSITIVE
Desirable
Experience/understanding of Cryptography including processes and procedures
Experience of assessment of systems in non‑standard environments
Experience of being on a Bid team
Working knowledge of NIST Risk Management Framework
Working knowledge of ISO 27001 or equivalent standards
Working knowledge of HMG Security Policy Framework and GovS 007: Security
Hold at least one current professional Information Security certification or qualification (e.g. CISSP, CGRC, CISM, CRISC, ISO 27001, BCS CITP, Cloud Security)
Understanding of patterns and anti‑patterns
Working knowledge of Personnel Security
Working knowledge of Physical Security
Responsibilities
Supporting our flagship and next generation products, this role will provide support to the APNT System Design Authority and Systems Engineering Lead with the development and management of system architecture and requirement
System definition and analysis, generation of technical procedures and reports
Participation in engineering design reviews, generation of bid proposal material, response to customer technical requests, production support and obsolescence management
Undertake development studies and investigation activities involving product performance and interfacing with various internal stakeholders
The role will involve working in a highly technical environment, supporting the team as well as working autonomously
Laboratory work will be involved for product testing. Taking on complex challenges and producing a solution that follows company process in a timely manner is an essential part of the role
A successful candidate will be comfortable integrating into a large team to accomplish their goals
