Information and Advice Caseworker

2 Days Old

Prospectus is delighted to be partnering with a West London-based older people’s charity who provide a range of impactful, person-centred services; from social prescribing, to befriending, to dementia support, to information and advice, to digital inclusion. They are now recruiting for an Information and Advice Caseworker to work as part of their tight knit team, initially on a 3 month fixed term contract.
Our client’s Information and Advice service supports older people in the local borough to live as independently as possible; help is available from benefits maximisation to make sure people receive everything they are entitled to, housing issues, social care needs, health and disabilities, advice on energy efficiency and fuel poverty, to assistance with form filling. As Information and Advice Caseworker you will provide an impartial service which is focused on the needs of the older person, and will provide this support both over the phone, via email and also face to face. You will support clients with a person-centred approach, enabling them to achieve their goals within the resources of the services. You will ensure that accurate records are maintained, the client database is kept up to date and that requests for contract monitoring information are fulfilled, producing reports when appropriate.
To apply for this role, you will have an understanding of the factors affecting older people’s lives and their carers, especially with regards to mobility, isolation and keeping independent. You will have an understanding of services available to older people from statutory, voluntary and private organisations, and will have knowledge of welfare reform changes to the latest updates. You will also have knowledge of the statutory UK framework of benefits and pensions for individuals, and financial support available from charities.
Please apply with your CV only in the first instance (in Microsoft Word format). Cover letters are not required at this stage.
Please note this role is initially a 3 month FTC (with possibility of extension) – please only apply if you are available immediately or have no more than a 2 week notice period.
As a specialist Recruitment Practice Prospectus is committed to building inclusive and diverse organisations, and welcome applications from all sections of the community. Prospectus invests in your journey as a candidate and are committed to supporting you.
Please note this role will be hybrid (3 days in the office / 2 working from home).
