Industrial Electrician

This role is ideal for an experienced Electrician who enjoys varied field based work, travelling to customer sites to install, maintain and repair electrical systems on pumps, motors and control equipment.
You will work across a wide range of operational locations including treatment plants, pumping stations, construction sites, rivers and docks while providing a vital service that keeps essential infrastructure running safely and efficiently.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Carry out installation, servicing and repair of electrical and mechanical pump systems across customer and branch locations.
Install and maintain single and three phase motors, pumps and associated electrical control equipment.
Conduct full electrical installations from generator supply through to motors and control panels including inverters, soft starts, DOL starters, ultrasonic systems and telemetry.
Perform wiring and testing to IEE Wiring Regulations ensuring compliance with industry legislation and site protocols.
Diagnose electrical faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime and keep customer operations running reliably.
Attend emergency breakdowns as part of an on call rota, restoring pumps and systems back to service quickly and safely.
Interpret technical drawings, specifications and site requirements ensuring correct materials and equipment are prepared.
Complete RAMS documentation and work safely in potentially hazardous or Ex rated environments.
Maintain professional communication with customers and internal teams, providing high quality service and technical clarity.
Keep vehicles, tools and equipment organised, safe and well maintained at all times.
Skills and Experience Required
NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation with 18th Edition certification.
ECS Gold Card or equivalent installation accreditation.
AM2 qualification or equivalent practical assessment.
Proven background in industrial or commercial electrical work, ideally involving pumps, motors or rotating equipment.
Experience working on control systems including inverters, soft starts and telemetry is highly advantageous.
Confident fault finder with a practical approach to diagnosing and resolving issues under pressure.
Understanding of hazardous area environments including Ex rated work is beneficial.
Full UK driving licence with ability to travel across the region.
Reliable, self motivated and able to manage workloads independently while maintaining high standards.
