Job Description
Join a thriving freight forwarding business in Harrow as a Import & Export Business Development Manager. This pivotal role offers an exciting opportunity to grow sales across air, sea, and general cargo services while developing strategic partnerships in both and international markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute a structured plan of sales appointments with new and existing clients Generate and pursue new business opportunities across freight, relocation, and logistics services Conduct face-to-face, phone, and networking-based client engagement Prepare tailored proposals and presentations to secure new contracts Manage your own calendar and set sales appointments independently Sell import/export services, including air and sea freight Provide sales support during Business Development meetings Maintain accurate visit reports in the CRM system Meet KPIs for visits and sales performance reporting Build and maintain key client relationships to maximize revenue potential Track competitor performance to inform strategy and positioning Collaborate on tailored transport solutions with internal specialist teams
Key Experience & Skills:
Proven experience in import, export, or freight forwarding sales Demonstrated ability to identify and close new business opportunities Experience selling international air and sea freight services Valid UK driver's license and ability to travel as and when needed. Comfortable managing a personal sales calendar and setting appointments Strong communication and negotiation skills across in-person and virtual channels
