Import and Export Coordinator

We are working with a leading international logistics business who are seeking a skilled and proactive Import/Export Operator to join their busy Lichfield team. This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of groupage operations between the UK and Belgium, working closely with hauliers, agents, and customers to ensure smooth and efficient freight movements.
The role will involve:

Planning and coordinating daily groupage shipments to/from Belgium
*
Consolidating loads effectively to maximise efficiency and reduce costs
*
Liaising with UK & EU agents, hauliers, and internal departments to ensure timely collections and deliveries
*
Tracking shipments and resolving any delays or issues promptly
*
Preparing and managing import/export documentation in line with customs regulations
*
Maintaining compliance with legislation, including ADR/hazardous goods where applicable
*
Delivering excellent customer service, providing updates and responding to queries quickly
*
Invoicing customers accurately and on schedule
We’re looking for someone who:

Has experience in import/export, freight forwarding, or transport operations
*
Understands customs procedures and Incoterms (advantageous)
*
Has ADR/hazardous goods/DGN knowledge (beneficial but not essential)
