I currently have an exciting opportunity for a Production Operative with experience within ice cream/gelato or frozen food production to join a well-established, family-run business in Newcastle.
The company are known for crafting exceptional ice cream with a loyal customer base and strong community values. As they continue to grow, they are looking for an enthusiastic and reliable production operative to join their dedicated team.
As an Ice Cream Production Operative, you will play a key role in the day-to-day production process, helping to ensure all products are made to the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and consistency. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive team in a business that truly values craftsmanship and care in everything they do.
Key Responsibilities
Support the day-to-day production of a range of ice cream products
Prepare ingredients and assist with mixing, batching, and processing
Operate production machinery safely and efficiently (training provided where required)
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety at all times
Assist with packing, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch
Monitor product quality and report any issues to supervisors
Support general production and warehouse duties as needed
What We're Looking For
Previous experience in ice cream/gelato production or a frozen food manufacturing environment
A positive, hands-on attitude and willingness to learn
Good attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
Understanding of food hygiene and safety practices
Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Reliable, punctual, and flexible approach to work
