Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) Design Engineer to support engineering design activities for complex industrial and power systems. This role requires strong technical expertise, the ability to work independently on assigned tasks, and effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary engineering team.

Key Responsibilities

Design, review, and support I&C systems including digital control and data acquisition systems, distributed control system (DCS) platforms, operator aid computer systems, plant networks, and security computer systems Apply industry cybersecurity design requirements to control and plant network systems Develop, review, and maintain engineering design documents and deliverables Interpret and work from plant drawings such as control wiring diagrams, one-line diagrams, and logic diagrams Review and produce engineering documentation including:

Engineering change documentation Equipment database records Electrical elementary diagrams Connection diagrams Wire tables Bills of material Cable cards

Execute assigned project tasks with minimal supervision while meeting quality, schedule, and technical requirements Collaborate with engineering, operations, and project teams to support design and implementation activities

Required Qualifications

Experience with digital control, data acquisition, and real-time control systems Familiarity with computer networks, operating systems, and control system interfaces Strong understanding of I&C hardware, software, and system integration Ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings Self-motivated, adaptable, and accountable with strong teamwork skills

Qualifications

Knowledge of a formal engineering design change and verification process Experience preparing or reviewing engineering changes and design verifications Experience in regulated or high-reliability environments Prior experience supporting nuclear or large-scale industrial facilities
