Hygiene Operative
Location: Bedford

Salary: £27 500 + Benefits
Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday Day shift 7am-3pm

The Opportunity
We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing manufacturing business, for a Hygiene Operative to join their team. This is a key role responsible for maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across the site, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.

This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has a strong attention to detail, and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out scheduled cleaning of production areas, machinery, and equipment

* Ensure all hygiene standards meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements

* Safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment in line with COSHH regulations

* Complete hygiene records and documentation accurately

* Support production teams in maintaining a clean and safe working environment

* Identify and report any hygiene or safety issues promptly

* Adhere to all Health & Safety and food safety (if applicable) procedures

What We’re Looking For

* Previous experience in a hygiene or cleaning role within manufacturing (ideally food, FMCG, or similar)

* Good understanding of hygiene standards and health & safety practices

* Knowledge of COSHH (desirable)

* Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team

* Flexible and reliable with a strong work ethic
