What will this role achieve?
The Hygiene Compliance Team Manager will be accountable for the maintenance of everyday hygiene standards and for the management of the site Cleaning operatives for our Wigston factory site, and will also have oversight for our Midlands Distribution Centre in Ashby.
The role will ensure complete adherence to the pladis Cleaning Management System (CMS), such that high standards of production area hygiene are always maintained. The role will manage site-based production area cleaning contractors and/or pladis Cleaning Teams. They will also lead on management of waste removal contractors for the site and support the application of lean techniques to ensure ongoing efficiency improvements.
What will be your key deliverables?
Primarily located at Wigston and reporting to the UK Manufacturing Standards Manager, the main responsibilities will include:
Manage all cleaning activities that take place in and around the production area and for maintaining everyday standards of hygiene across the site
Responsible for achieving budgeted figures
Planning and prioritising work and ensuring maximum use of resources
Ensuring efficiency and conformance to plan (cleaning schedule compliance)
Manage compliance to Health & Safety requirements where they relate to cleaning activities carried out by pladis and contractors
Identify measurement and publication of key performance indicators where they relate to cleaning and cleaning contractor activity
Bring your experience
Essential
Proven experience in a Hygiene role in an FMCG company
Significant experience of working in a manufacturing environment
Solid understanding of Food Safety and Health & Safety legislation and its application
Proficient with IT
Credible teammate who is self-motivated with a drive to achieve the best result
Good communication skills and can work effectively with Leadership team members, Hygiene Compliance Team Managers and Operators

What will the interview process be?
1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency-based interview based on our company values and your experiences.
2nd stage interview – 60 minutes – a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview.
pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process. Some processes may differ, but we will keep you updated!
