About The RoleThe Hygiene Area Manager oversees the day-to-day and long-term hygiene activities within a defined production area. The role ensures hygiene standards are consistently met, leads and develops hygiene teams, and supports delivery of food safety, quality and manufacturing targets. It also coordinates labour, manages resources such as chemicals and equipment, and ensures cleaning processes meet Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) requirements.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage hygiene teams, including training, performance and shift coordinationAchieve hygiene related KPIs including standards, micro performance, people, quality and costEnsure safe and effective cleaning procedures are planned and delivered to reduce microbiological riskMaintain chemical supplies and ensure correct use in line with CICs and manufacturer guidanceLiaise with production and other functions to support delivery of manufacturing targetsEnsure high standards of waste management, segregation and environmental compliancePromote a strong Health & Safety culture, embedding safe working practices across all hygiene tasksSupport investigations into hygiene or microbiological issues and help implement corrective actionsAbout YouWe believe success comes from collaboration and diverse perspectives.
