Hybrid - Peterborough BaseWe’re working with a growing specialist property finance lender who are expanding their credit function and looking to appoint a Senior Underwriter to play a key role in deal structuring, credit decisioning and team development.This is a hands-on role with real influence — ideal for someone who enjoys complex lending, taking ownership of decisions and mentoring junior talent.The OpportunityLead underwriting on bridging & development finance transactionsStructure and assess complex deals from enquiry through to completionPresent credit papers and contribute at Credit Committee levelSupport and mentor a Junior UnderwriterPlay a key role in improving underwriting processes as the business scalesWhat You’ll Be DoingAssess new lending opportunities in line with credit appetiteAnalyse borrower strength, financials and exit strategiesReview valuations, IMS reports and supporting documentationStructure deals with clear risk mitigationManage transactions through to completion and first drawdownMonitor live loans including development drawdownsBuild strong relationships with brokers, borrowers and external partnersAct as an escalation point for complex casesWhat They’re Looking ForStrong background in bridging and/or development finance underwritingProven ability to structure and assess deals independentlyExperience presenting credit papers and supporting committee decisionsCommercial mindset with sound credit judgementComfortable managing multiple deals and stakeholdersPrevious mentoring or leadership experience is a plusPlease apply for a confidential discussion. #J-18808-Ljbffr
