Job Description
HV Maintenance Manager\n\nOur client, a leading firm in the power utilities and energy sector, is currently seeking a dynamic and HV Maintenance Manager to join their Private Networks department. This is a permanent, full-time role working Monday to Friday.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nLead and coordinate day-to-day operations of HV service teams, including SAPs, engineers, and field technicians.\nEnsure adherence to HV network safety rules, switching protocols, and all relevant statutory and industry standards.\nPlan and allocate resources efficiently to meet service commitments, planned maintenance, fault response, and project support needs.\nOversee incident response and restoration activities, ensuring fast, safe, and customer-focused outcomes.\nDrive service excellence across HV maintenance, testing, inspection, and emergency response.\nChampion a strong safety culture, ensuring all operations follow H&S legislation and internal safety management systems.\nAct as the operational point of contact for key customers, building trust and ensuring service expectations are met.\nLead, mentor, and support HV operational teams to ensure high engagement, competency, and performance.\n\nJob Requirements:\n\nExperience in High Voltage (11kV-66kV) private network operations, maintenance, or service delivery.\nStrong understanding of HV safety rules, switching processes, and electrical network operation.\nProven experience managing field service teams in a safety-critical environment.\nKnowledge of DNO/IDNO standards, maintenance regimes, and private network compliance requirements.\nHNC/HND or higher in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience).\nSenior Authorised Person (SAP) status or prior HV authorisation desirable.\nIOSH/NEBOSH or equivalent safety qualification .\nFull UK driving licence.\n\nBenefits:\n\n£75,000-£85,000 per annum\nCompany car or car allowance \n24 days annual leave plus bank holidays, with the option to buy up to 5 additional holidays\nGroup Personal Pension Plan\nCareer development and progression opportunities with the chance to earn professional qualifications\n24/7 access to a virtual GP and mental health support & counselling services\nCycle to Work scheme\nDiscount club for supermarkets, phone bills, gyms & more\nLife assurance cover\nLong service recognition\nEnhanced Maternity Pay\nPaid volunteering opportunities in your community\nIf you have extensive experience in High Voltage private network operations and are looking for a new opportunity to further develop your career, we would love to hear from you.
