Attention all HV Electrical Design Engineers!\n\nBlueprint Recruitment have an exciting opportunity to join one of our leading clients Power Transmission/Distribution team. This is an opportunity for a highly capable and motivated specialist HVDC engineers with an eye for detail, to support and inspire the team on a variety of power system projects.\n\nThis role offers hybrid working from their Manchester office, with the option to consider locations in Glasgow, London, or Birmingham.\n\nKey Responsibilities of your role:\n\n-Design and analysis of HVDC systems, including converter stations and substations.\n\n-Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements, focusing on safety and efficiency.\n\n-Work with multidisciplinary teams to integrate HVDC systems with electrical and civil infrastructure.\n\n-Work with clients to define requirements and provide technical guidance.\n\n-Create technical documentation, including design reports and specifications.\n\nWhat we are looking for:\n\n-PhD, MSc, MEng or BEng degrees in Electrical Engineering /Electrical Power Systems or similar.\n\n-Experience with high-voltage power systems.\n\n-Knowledge of UK and international grid connection processes and Grid Codes.\n\n-Client and project management experience.\n\n-In-depth understanding of HVDC technologies and converter station designs.\n\n-Proven experience in HVDC projects, including interconnectors and onshore/offshore schemes.\n\n-Strong background in HVDC system studies, with excellent communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.\n\n-Chartered Engineer or working towards IET chartership is preferable.\n\nWhat's in it for you?\n\n-Competitive salary and rewards package.\n\n-Ongoing career and learning opportunities.\n\n-Flexible benefits.\n\n-Generous annual leave.\n\n-Hybrid working environment
