Our client is a growing manufacturer experiencing strong business growth. To support this expansion and continue developing a safe, compliant working environment, they are seeking an experienced HSE & Facilities Manager.
The Role
This is a senior, hands-on role combining strategic leadership with day-to-day responsibility. Reporting into senior management and working as part of the Operations Leadership Team, you will have full ownership of Health, Safety, Environmental, and Facilities activities across multiple sites, including work carried out at customer and supplier locations.
You will lead the business through ISO14001 and ISO45001 certification and drive a strong, continuous improvement and zero-incident culture.
Key responsibilities include:
Ownership of all HSE and facilities activities across the business.
Leading ISO14001 and ISO45001 implementation and ongoing compliance.
Developing and delivering a facilities plan aligned to site strategy and growth.
Ensuring compliance with local and HSE legislation through audits and safety tours.
Managing incidents, reporting, and corrective actions.
Driving continuous improvement and safety culture initiatives.
Contractor and visitor control, including RAMS.
Acting as the interface with the wider corporate HSE function.
Advising senior leadership on HSE risks and compliance matters.
Candidate Requirements
5+ years’ experience running an HSE programme in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
Strong knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001.
Proven ability to drive safety culture and continuous improvement.
Experience working within a matrix or corporate-led environment.
NEBOSH (or equivalent) and an Environmental Management qualification are essential.
ISO Internal Auditor certification or equivalent audit experience is highly desirable.
The Package
Salary circa £50,000, with flexibility for candidates who fully meet all requirements
