Job Title: HR & Payroll Administrator Location:Hawick based, with remote applicants also consideredPay Rate: £14.36 per hour Start Date: ASAP Job Type: Temporary- Ongoing Hours: Monday- Friday (7.5 hours per day)Main Responsibilities:Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and confidential employee recordsSupport recruitment processes, including advertising roles and coordinating interviewsCoordinate onboarding and prepare employment contracts and offer lettersManage employee lifecycle activities (starters, leavers, promotions, absence tracking)Respond to employee queries on HR policies and proceduresProvide administrative support for performance management and trainingProcess payroll accurately and on time (weekly/monthly)Maintain payroll data, including salaries, benefits, and statutory deductionsManage timesheets, overtime, and absence-related payroll inputsResolve payroll queries and discrepancies efficientlyEnsure compliance with employment legislation and statutory requirements (e.g. HMRC, pensions, National Insurance)Produce HR and payroll reports (e.g. absence, headcount, turnover) Requirements:Demonstrated experience in HR administration and payroll processingFamiliarity with payroll systems and HR software platformsSolid understanding of UK employment legislation and payroll regulationsExceptional attention to detail with a high degree of accuracyStrong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectivelyExcellent communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationshipsMaintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all timesA proactive approach with strong problem-solving capabilities If you are interested in applying for this roleApply Now Attach your CV and one of our colleagues will be in touch shortly.JBRP1_UKTJ
