Part of the Global HR Operations function, reporting into the Senior Manager HR Operations, the HR Advisor is a key member of the EMEA HR Service Centre responsible for delivering high-quality, consistent HR operational support across the full employee lifecycle, within EMEA mainly supporting the CSL Germany and Switzerland entities.
The role ensures that HR processes are executed accurately and efficiently, in line with local requirements and company policy. This position acts as a first point of contact for HR-related queries, particularly supporting German -speaking employees, and contributes to HR data integrity and compliance. It exists to ensure excellent service delivery, continuous process improvement, and an inclusive employee experience. The role supports both day-to-day operations and cyclical HR activities in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
This position will be based in Liverpool in which 3 days a week on site is required.
Responsibilities include: -
Processing and responding to inquiries regarding all routine human resources processes (e.g., questions regarding
starting and processing processes in Workday, parental leave, working hours, etc.) for selected European countries
(Germany and Switzerland), considering operational and legal regulations in German and English
Manage core HR processes across the employee lifecycle (e.g., onboarding, changes to employment, offboarding)
Execute accurately, timely, and in compliance with policies and local legislation
Act as first point of contact for HR queries from employees and managers
Provide guidance in German and English aligned with policies and procedures
Maintain HR systems and employee records
Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and confidentiality (e.g., Workday, ServiceNow)
Partner with Centre’s of Expertise (CoEs) such as Talent Acquisition, Reward, and Employee Relations
Collaborate to ensure seamless HR service delivery and escalation where needed
Identify and support process improvements
Recommend and help implement efficiencies in HR workflows and systems
Support audits and compliance activities
Ensure documentation meets internal controls and external regulatory requirements
Provide operational support for cyclical HR processes
Assist with performance reviews, pay reviews, contract renewals, etc.
Collaborate with HRSC colleagues and global teams
Contribute to shared goals and knowledge sharing across regions
Qualifications, skills and Experience: -
Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred
Minimum of 1 years' experience in an HR Operations, HR Administration, or similar role
Experience working in a multinational or regional HR environment supporting multiple countries
Proven track record of working with HR systems (e.g., Workday) and case management tools (e.g., ServiceNow)
Experience managing employee queries and delivering HR services in a fast-paced, service-oriented environment
Proficient in German both speaking and written
Solid understanding of core HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, and offboarding
Familiarity with employment-related compliance requirements, particularly within EMEA regions
Experience using HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday) and HR case management tools (e.g., ServiceNow
High level of attention to detail and proven ability to manage sensitive employee data with confidentiality and precision
Strong time management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and German both written and speaking
A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to delivering a high-quality employee experience
Enthusiastic about identifying opportunities to streamline and enhance HR processes
Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-regional team and build positive relationships with stakeholder’s Excellent communication skills including English and German both speaking and written
Very good knowledge of location-specific company regulations (DE/CH)
Very good system knowledge in SAP HR, ticketing tool, cloud systems, HR portal technology
