A well‑established organisation within the transport sector is seeking an experienced HR Officer to join their team on a temporary contract for an initial 3 months, with potential for extension.
This role requires a confident HR professional with strong Employee Relations (ER) experience who can provide pragmatic, employment‑law‑focused advice in a fast‑paced operational environment.
The Role
Reporting into the HR team, you will play a key role in supporting managers and employees across a broad range of HR and ER matters. Key responsibilities will include:
Providing first-line and escalated HR advice to managers and employees Managing a varied caseload of Employee Relations issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance concerns Supporting investigations, hearings, and outcomes in line with company policy and employment legislation Advising on employment law, ensuring compliance with current legislation and best practice Supporting the application and interpretation of HR policies and procedures Assisting with recruitment, onboarding, and wider HR administration as required Maintaining accurate HR records and documentationAbout You
