The Role
We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our team on a short- term contract to cover maternity leave. You will be responsible for managing the HR service at Ingentive and will report to the COO. This is an excellent opportunity for a HR Professional who can quickly step into a fast-paced role and provide high quality HR Support across the organisation. You will be an enthusiastic, trustworthy, discreet and intuitive individual with the ability to forge relationships at all levels.
Essential Experience
- CIPD level 5 qualification or equivalent.
- A strong HR background.
- Experience of managing employee relation matters, including managing sensitive issues to achieve positive outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- An ability to work to tight deadlines and to remain calm under pressure.
- Able to demonstrate initiative, discretion and sound judgement.
- Strong organisational skills and methodical working style.
- Highly personable with an approachable and confident personality.
- Ability to challenge and influence others, including senior management, to ensure that the right outcomes are achieved.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and HR systems.
- In-depth, current knowledge and understanding of employment law, HR best practice and recruitment.
- Ability to think strategically.
- Experience of writing policies and HR documentation.
- Awareness of health and safety and data protection regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Be the first point of contact for HR related queries.
- Undertake daily HR operations such as starter and leaver processes.
- Issue relevant HR and contractual paperwork
- Maintain and review job descriptions, contracts, and the team handbook to ensure legal compliance.
- Company benefit’s management including PMI, life assurance, performance bonuses etc.
- Provide expert guidance to managers on the application of HR policy and employment legislation.
- Assist with HR processes where necessary e.g. disciplinary or grievance.
- Coach and support managers to develop their skills in everyday HR issues including at a senior level.
- Monitor sickness and annual leave. Advise line managers on support and options available.
- Keep the HR database and files up to date.
- Promote equality and diversity throughout Ingentive Ltd
- Continually seek improvements and increase efficiency. This will include policies, procedures or technologies adopted for use in core HR, staff development or recruitment functions.
