UK Remote (Monthly travel to Dudley) £50,000–£60,000 Contract: Permanent
The Role
A standalone HR leadership role responsible for building and shaping the entire people function from scratch within a growing organisation.
Initially operating at a hands-on HR Manager level, this role will evolve into a strategic HR Director position, driving the people agenda, implementing systems, and supporting business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Build and implement the HR function, including policies, processes, and systems (HiBob)
* Develop and deliver the people strategy aligned to business growth
* Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team
* Lead on employee relations, performance management, and compliance
* Drive culture, engagement, and organisational development initiatives
* Implement HR systems, reporting, and people data insights
* Support leadership capability and workforce planning
* Ensure compliance with employment law and regulatory requirements
The Ideal Candidate
* Proven experience in a standalone or senior HR role
* CIPD Level 5 or 7 qualified (essential)
* Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
* Experience building or developing HR functions and systems
* Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable in a growing environment
* Strong stakeholder management and leadership capability
* Strategic thinker with the ability to deliver operationally
* Experience in education or regulated environments (desirable)
