HR Case Manager

New Today

Are you an experienced HR professional with a passion for problem-solving and making a real impact?

We are looking for an HR Case Manager to join our team on a 12-month Fixed Term basis. In this role, you will provide expert support and guidance to managers, ensuring that HR decisions are made in compliance with employment law and company policies. You will play a key part in fostering a positive workplace culture, managing HR risks, and supporting the development of HR initiatives that align with the business’s objectives.

This is a hybrid role, with the requirement to attend our Runcorn office once a week. If you're a solution-focused professional with strong HR expertise, we’d love to hear from you.

Main Responsibility

Your main responsibilities will include:

Provide expert advice and coaching to managers on complex employee relations cases, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, sickness, TUPE, redundancy, and organisational change.

Support and guide managers through Employment Tribunal claims and Settlement Agreements, working closely with legal partners to minimise risk and cost.

Develop, update, and roll out clear, compliant HR policies, toolkits, and training materials, ensuring they meet business needs and legal standards.

Lead the HR elements of TUPE processes during service mobilisations and exits, ensuring smooth transitions.

Review and manage DBS and professional referrals, escalating appropriately.

Communicate HR updates and policy changes clearly across the business and support the upskilling of the AskHR and wider People teams.

Monitor ER data and trends, identifying risks and taking proactive steps to reduce issues such as disciplinary cases and complaints.

Contribute to the development of HR dashboards and reports, supporting effective tracking of KPIs and people-related performance.

The Ideal Candidate

You’ll ideally be CIPD Level 5 qualified, with proven experience in managing HR casework, particularly in employee relations. However, this is not essential, and we are happy to support the right candidate through a relevant apprenticeship to gain the qualification.

You should also be confident using IT systems and demonstrate a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Please see the attached job description for a full person specification.
