We are looking for a motivated and experienced HR Business Partner to join our team on an interim part time basis for a period of 6 months. You will contribute to the delivery of strategic HR services across Southwark Council. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment, working closely with senior leaders, line managers, and staff to drive people strategies that support the Councils vision and objectives.As an HRBP, you will work alongside business leaders to advise, coach, and support them in the development and implementation of effective people management practices, focusing on improving employee engagement, retention, and overall organizational effectivenessPay - up to £400 umbrellaKey Responsibilities:Partner with senior leaders and managers to align people strategy with business objectives, ensuring HR interventions are well integrated into the overall service delivery plan.Provide expert advice on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, and performance management.Lead on change management initiatives, ensuring effective communication and a smooth transition for staff during periods of transformation.Work proactively to identify HR trends and recommend strategies to address issues around talent management, succession planning, and employee wellbeing.Champion the Councils diversity and inclusion agenda, ensuring policies and practices support a fair and inclusive workplace.Work collaboratively with colleagues across the HR team to ensure the delivery of high-quality HR services.Provide coaching and support to managers on HR best practice, policies, and procedures.Contribute to HR projects and initiatives to improve the employee experience and organizational culture.In essential, can we also add in the following please:Strong understanding of employment law and HR best practice.Demonstrable experience in employee relations, including handling complex cases and providing guidance on performance management and disciplinary matters.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.Strong organisational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Hybrid/part time - 22 hours per week / 3 days - Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (we do have team meetings once per month on a Wednesday so they would need flexibility to switch between Tuesday and Wednesdays once per month)JBRP1_UKTJ
