Belmont Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced HR Advisor to work with Redcar and Cleveland Borough Council. This is initially a six month assignment working 37 hours per week (Mon – Fri) on a hybrid basis.

The incoming HR Advisor will be responsible for delivering a high-quality, customer-focused HR service across all departments. You will work closely with managers and employees, offering expert advice aligned with employment legislation and internal policies, while also contributing to the wider strategic goals of the HR function.

Main Duties

* Provide expert advice and support on a range of employee relations issues including discipline, grievance, and performance management

* Represent HR at disciplinary and grievance hearings and investigations

* Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures

* Offer guidance on employment law, terms and conditions, and HR best practices

* Support organisational change initiatives in line with policies and employment law

* Contribute to reports, briefings, and research as required by the HR Advisory Manager or Senior Advisor

* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and ensure its application in daily HR practices

* Liaise effectively with stakeholders including trade unions, external partners, and internal departments
