BDS have a fantastic opportunity for a housing support worker in Exeter and surrounding area\n\nHours per Week: 37\n\nExpected Length of Contract: Temp ongoing to start ASAP\n\nSalary Details: £13.66 per hour PAYE plus hol pay or £17.68 per hour umbrella\n\nBDS Recruitment are looking for a Support Worker to work with veterans and others who have been homeless or facing homelessness.\n\nThe successful candidate will provide a holistic and positive approach to solution focussed support.\n\nYour workload will be around 5 to 8 customers at any one time, which will give you the time and capacity to provide a high quality service. You will be a part of a larger team, who support people with complex needs in the Honiton area.\n\nAs a Support Worker, you will be working closely with other agencies around specific needs including mental health, substance misuse, benefits, private letting agents and landlords and/or others and exploring options around education, training and employment. You will need to write, review and update support plans and risk assessments and take a positive approach towards risk management.\n\nExperience in a similar role would be desirable, however what is most important is having a passion for helping people in the local community.
