Housing Options Officer

I’m currently working with a local authority in London that is looking for a Housing Options Officer to join their team as soon as next month on a minimum 6-month contract. This means you will be able to work over the Christmas period and avoid the drought that usually occurs at the beginning of the year.

Role Details:

* Position: Housing Options Officer

* Rate: £28.00ph - £29.00ph umbrella (DOE)

* Location: London

* Contract Length: Minimum 6 months

Experience Required:

* Strong knowledge of up-to-date Housing Reduction Act (HRA) legislation

* Experience making Section 184 decisions

* Ability to manage the full process from assessment through to Main Duty

* Proactive approach to assisting clients in need of Temporary Accommodation (TA) and preventing homelessness.

* Having Jigsaw housing system knowledge would be highly desirable.
