ASE Recruitment are specialist recruiters in the social housing and social care sectors providing temporary staffing to work within a variety of 24 hour supported accommodation services and floating support services for Housing Associations and Charities across the Northwest, Midlands, and Derbyshire.We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Housing Officer to work with a leading housing association in the Small Heath area supporting clients experiencing homelessness, mental health, and substance misuse.This is a temporary role which could lead to a permanent role for the right candidate, offering a competitive hourly rate of £15.38 - £16.41 and the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.Hours: Monday to Friday 9am to 5pmContract: Temp to permRate: £15.38 - £16.41Location: Birmingham West Bromwich About the Role As a Housing Officer, you will manage a mobile patch delivering a high-quality housing management service. You will support tenants from move-in to move-out, ensuring properties are safe, compliant, and well-managed. Key duties include managing rent accounts and arrears, reducing voids, handling anti-social behaviour and tenancy breaches, conducting property inspections, and working with internal teams and external partners to sustain tenancies and communities. About You We are looking for someone with experience in housing management or a customer-focused environment who can work independently and manage a varied caseload. You will have: Experience in tenancy management, arrears, voids, or estate management Strong knowledge of housing legislation, safeguarding, and compliance Ability to manage challenging situations including ASB and tenancy enforcement Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage a mobile patch Experience using IT systems for case management and reporting A proactive, solution-focused approach with a commitment to customer service A full UK driving licence This role requires an Enhanced DBS check with barred list clearance (Adults).ASE recruitment is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults accessing our services.
