This role involves managing a caseload of disrepair claims, advising departments, and supporting litigation strategies. Key Responsibilities: Manage pre-action and litigated housing disrepair claims from inception to resolution. Liaise with surveyors, housing officers, insurers, and external legal representatives. Prepare court bundles, witness statements, and legal pleadings. Provide legal advice on landlord responsibilities under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and related housing legislation. Attend court hearings and settlement meetings as required. Requirements: Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive. Demonstrable experience handling housing disrepair claims. Public sector/local government experience preferred. Strong communication and negotiation skills. Weekly office attendance required.
